The day after graduation it was time to get out of town! Ari and I wanted to get to Cincinnati as soon as we could to try to get settled before we jumped into our new jobs. After about 6 1/2 hours and a lovely detour around Gary, Indiana we finally made it home. It was so much fun to walk into our new house! The next day, the movers arrived with all of our things. I couldn't believe that two guys brought it all in themselves! The van got the neighbors interested, and Lois was the first to come check us out. She brought her adorable little puppy Tiger Lily to meet us. She was very welcoming, giving us vital info like where the grocery store is located and some history of the neighborhood. She also told us that one of the other heme-onc fellows lives three doors down... what are the chances? While we got some work done that day, the majority of the unpacking was accomplished when my mom arrived the next day. We would still be living out of boxes if it weren't for her. She and I tackled the important rooms first like the kitchen and bathrooms. I wasn't feeling too well so she also gave me time to nap and some healing mommy hugs... I am thirty and I still love those! The picture of us above is at Newport on the Levy when we finally finished (OK maybe we were about 80% done).
